This August has seen amazing work in the face of adversity at Green Acres Farm in Shropshire, bringing in an incredibly precious crop of organic carlin peas.

Organic Marrowfat Peas at Little Bytham

The new 2021 crop of organic marrowfat peas are coming through beautifully at The Grange, farmed by Guy and John Turner of Turners of Bytham. The cool wet weather in early May hasn’t provided the easiest start to the year for peas, but the marrowfats are looking excellent.

We're delighted that the sustainability benefits of vegetable protein and the naturally high levels in dried peas (rather than fresh or frozen) are being recognised but believe that minimally processed whole peas, split peas and pea flour have most to offer both nutritionally and for their taste and versatility.

A Feast to Celebrate the International Year of Pulses

Feasting on pulses is something the Hodmedod team are happy to do any day of the week but on January 6th we had two extra reasons to celebrate. As well as an almost belated Christmas lunch, January 6th marked the launch of the UN’s International Year of Pulses with hundreds of people across the world celebrating with a pulse feast.
