This wonderful loaf is a special edition of our rye bread, incorporating additional ingredients from the Hodmedod range. It marries our classic rye sourdough with British-grown poppy seeds and roasted green and yellow peas and fava beans, along with a little pea flour for a deliciously diverse, richly flavoured, textured and colourful loaf.
As you take a bite, you’ll feel the crunch and pop of the nutty poppy seeds deliciously contrasting with the soft and richly flavoured rye bread, whilst the roasted yellow and green peas and fava beans bring another texture and subtle grassy taste notes. It’s a rye loaf with a real oomph!
This loaf is perfect as it is for a snack with extra virgin olive oil, butter, tahini or other spreads; with salads, soups, dips, eggs, cheese, or great toasted; a delicious high-fibre accompaniment to any meal or make a meal with it and use for extra super sandwiches.
*Add the loaf to your basket and complete your order as usual. A small number loaves will be baked to order every week. Orders for Thursday dispatch must be received by 12 noon on the Monday.

This bread is so full of goodness and flavour. Henrietta is such a skilled baker and this new loaf does not disappoint!
Another fabulous loaf from the Hodmedod bakery team. Lots of delicious flavours and some interesting textures, not tried toasted yet but fresh makes amazing open sandwiches with anything we’ve tried so far. Love the plant diversity in the loaf, novel in a bought bread and very appreciated.

I am an impulsive cooker and have rarely soaked any pulses when I fancy them. The naked peas (essentially split peas) solve this problem. The pink ones stayed more whole than yellow split peas, a fact I love. The taste is similar to yellow peas with a hint of red lentil and a texture similar to chick peas. I haven't tried it for houmous yet, but it should work a treat.
Just started a mainly vegan diet and had not realised how many beans you can buy! No idea what to choose so just bought this bundle. Tried a couple of recipes so far from the site and really wonderful. Who knew beans were so versatile and tasty!
Interesting to see these cooking instructions. However, I would like to recommend YQ as a bread flour. After some five years of using various Hodmedod's wheats for my bread, this is one of the very best I have tried - I get loads of compliments from family and friends whenever I bake with this flour.
Just arrived - quickly - but really looking forward to trying them.
I've just cooked them in a rice cooker to accompany a meal. Really tasty and definitely better than brown rice.
