Pulses

Fava beans and field peas are Britain's original pulses. We founded Hodmedod to get fava beans back into British kitchens and soon added carlin and marrowfat peas to our range. We've since worked with our network of farmers to get lentils and chickpeas into production in the UK. We almost always have good availability of fava beans, many varieties of pea, and lentils.

We occasionally have other very special rare beans of different species. Many are doubly rare: difficult to grow in the UK and globally scarce. They are always very popular and we sell out very quickly. We'll have more rare beans available from this year's harvest but not until late autumn / winter. We'll announce them in our newsletter. In the meantime please enjoy our less rare pulses.
