Grown by Andrew and Peter Fairs in the fields of Essex, our quinoa is deliciously nutty and light. It's easy to cook and perfect for salads, as a side dish, in soups or for baking.
Our white quinoa is unpolished and wholegrain, retaining its full flavour and nutrition with a creamier colour than more highly processed quinoa.

Delicate quinoa is tasty, nutritious, versatile and easy to cook.
Rinse, cover with 1½ to two parts water or stock for each 1 part quinoa, bring to the boil and then simmer on a very low heat for 15 minutes. The grains will absorb the water and swell to 2 to 3 times their original size. Fluff the grains apart with a fork.

Peter Fairs has been growing quinoa on his farm in Essex for over 20 years but has only identified and selected "sweet" varieties for human consumption in the last few years.

Very happy to find this quinoa both wholegrain, nourishing and grown in UK! This is the best quinoa i have ever tasted. Usually I don't like the taste of quinoa but this is the exception.
what's not to love, maximum nutrients including protein, whole grain complex carbohydrate proving slow release energy, gut health from high fibre, you can do anything with this quick to cook versatile grain it stands alone like rice or makes burgers, side dishes, stir fries, risotto, paella, jambalaya, kedgeree and ad infinitum!! And forget not, it's cousin fat hen, was found in the stomach of the neanderthal; like barley we deeply understand this grain.

My first time cooking with these beans. Made the Yellow Eye Bean Soup from the Rancho Gordo cookbook (p118). Didn’t quite follow the recipe as used the slow cooker to have the soup bubbling away slowly all day rather than cook on the stove top. Oh my goodness… what an absolute delight… will definitely be buying lots more… xx
I am not usually a bean fan but these are fantastic. Will definitely be buying more
Love these tiny seeds in my morning porridge, shelled is great as easier to digest and I’m so happy to know they are locally grown. The ones I bought previously were imported from China!
Delicious fat creamy beans. I soaked overnight and cooked in the instant pot for 15 mins. Were delicious with salt, pepper, lemon and parsley on a spicy halloumi salad.
Another fabulous loaf from the Hodmedod bakery team. Lots of delicious flavours and some interesting textures, not tried toasted yet but fresh makes amazing open sandwiches with anything we’ve tried so far. Love the plant diversity in the loaf, novel in a bought bread and very appreciated.
