| Dorset's answer to maple syrup, Liberty Fields' Apple Syrup is a luxuriously rich and intense natural sweetener, made only from the apples of their orchards. |
Liberty Fields produce small batches of superb syrup, balsamic vinegar, cider and vodka by hand from the fruit of their own Dorset apple orchards, planted from 2010.
The syrup contains no additives, chemicals, fining agents or sugar. Over 2kg apples go into each bottle.
Use as a sweetener, like maple syrup. Delicious with pancakes, yoghurt porridge, ice cream, French toast and more. Mix with sparkling water or lemonade to make a non-alcoholic summer cup, or use as a sweetener in cooking.
For best before date see pack. Store in a cool, dry place. Refrigerate after opening and use within 6 weeks

I love this apple syrup but not many shops stock it, so I was very pleased to find it at Hodmedods on their recent open day

This is the cleanest grain I’ve used to home mill.
No extras, no chaff and grinds beautifully.
Excellent flavour and makes (so far) very good biscuits and whole grain bread.
Really like the idea of the population wheat as it has to be considered as a way forward to less input reliant farming.
Organic which is all we use through choice.
Thank you and congratulations to the growers and processor.
Wonderful results and so easy with a soda bread recipe. Lovely colour, density and flavour.
I use 3 measures of Black Wheat and add to it 1 measure of Strong White Flour.
Sometimes I add mixed grain flour as well. Always a perfect product,
I am an impulsive cooker and have rarely soaked any pulses when I fancy them. The naked peas (essentially split peas) solve this problem. The pink ones stayed more whole than yellow split peas, a fact I love. The taste is similar to yellow peas with a hint of red lentil and a texture similar to chick peas. I haven't tried it for houmous yet, but it should work a treat.
Just started a mainly vegan diet and had not realised how many beans you can buy! No idea what to choose so just bought this bundle. Tried a couple of recipes so far from the site and really wonderful. Who knew beans were so versatile and tasty!
Interesting to see these cooking instructions. However, I would like to recommend YQ as a bread flour. After some five years of using various Hodmedod's wheats for my bread, this is one of the very best I have tried - I get loads of compliments from family and friends whenever I bake with this flour.
