Rye Flakes are a delicious and robust cereal, with a distinctive greenish hue and deep flavour. Our organic flakes are produced from rye grain grown at Wimpole Hall Farm in Cambridgeshire.
Rye Flakes make a great basis for breads, crackers, porridge and muesli. Cook them up with all manner of main meals as a pasta or rice substitute, or blend into your favourite snack bars, energy balls and other treats.
Rye Flakes can be used as a rolled or flaked oat alternative including porridge, cookies, cakes and breads. Try combining with wholegrain flour and seeds to make a posh bread.
To eat as a muesli, combine with other cereal flakes and enjoy. Or use as an oat substitute in any baking recipe.

An amazing recipe book that highlights ancient beans and grains from the UK that can be used to make delicious food. The beautiful illustrations and design are a bonus!
What a beautiful, brilliant book of delicious recipes, from classics with a twist, to creatively playful culinary experiments, healthy eating has rarely felt so exciting and satisfying. Suffused throughout with the deep love of land and produce, earthy food culture and the most precious of convivialities the communing of dining together. The book is already a favourite in our household and will no doubt end up as one of those cookery books affectionately well thumbed and adorned with flamboyant spatterings of ingredients!
I pre ordered so got my copy early, bought as a Christmas present for my daughter. It really is a delight to read and look through, so much so to de-risk making the present one look “thumb’d” I’m ordering a second for ourselves. The recipe in this pic comes highly recommended.
A book full of wholesome, locally sourced food. Good for you and good for the environment. Hodmedod's quality of produce and quality of spirit is what Britain is about and this incredible book will be well placed on any home cooking shelf and a welcomed gift to friends and family. Well done guys!
Another excellent Hodmedods lentil supporting British Farming. So tasty, great to use in curry amongst a host of other dishes.
