| Laverbread is a Welsh delicacy made from laver seaweed, sea salt and water. It's delicious spread on bread or toast with a little lemon juice or mixed with oatmeal to make laver cakes. |
Laver seaweed - Porphyra umbilicalis, closely related to Japanese nori - grows widely around the west coast of Britain and has long been used to produce the traditional Celtic laverbread.
After being gathered the seaweed is thoroughly washed and is cooked until it becomes soft, then minced to convert it into a paste like texture.
Laver is highly nutritious, very low in calories, rich in protein, contains iodine and vitamins A, B2, C and D.

Made the Flamingo Peas into a dhal last night, It worked really well, kept their shape and wonderful flavour. Tried the 10 min boil, then let them sit for a hour, then simmered for 30 mins, turned out really soft peas.
Great quality, no dust and keeps well.
Very happy to find this quinoa both wholegrain, nourishing and grown in UK! This is the best quinoa i have ever tasted. Usually I don't like the taste of quinoa but this is the exception.
I bought Diversity Blend #0+ Base - Wholemeal Flour for the first time and also purchased a piece of Wholemeal YQ Sourdough Starter just to see if was any different to my own I've been using for years. It came with super clear instructions about how the flour and starter liked to handled. The bread is SO TASTY! its the best I've eaten in years, with such a complex flavour. Thank you. I will be buying more.
This bread is fantastic! Really tasty, I had to stop eating it before I exploded. A great flavour, just a hint of sourness, and brilliant texture. I buttered it easily with no breaking up despite the bread being very fresh. I will definitely be buying again
