| Organic whole blue peas are back! |
Whole Blue Peas are the same peas used for Split Green Peas but with the skin left on. They're a firm but tasty pea with plenty of bite and superb in spicy dishes.
Grown at Camp Green Farm in Suffolk.
Collections: Dried Peas, Split & Whole, from British Farms , Hodmedod's Pulses, Grains, Seeds, Flakes, Flour, Ferment & more , Organic Pulses, Grains, Seeds, Flakes & more... , Pulses, Grains & Seeds , Pulses: Beans, Peas & Lentils , Whole Foods from Hodmedod & Guest Producers
Category: Green / Blue Peas , Organic
Type: Peas
Whole dried peas retain their skin and require soaking before use, but hold their shape even after prolonged cooking.
Soak overnight, drain and rinse. Place in a pan with plenty of water, bring to boil, cover and simmer for 45-60 minutes until tender.
Cooking times for dried pulses will be longer at higher altitudes and when cooking with hard water or older pulses.
Adding bicarbonate of soda during soaking and/or cooking will soften the pulses and reduce the cooking time.
Cooked pulses can be used immediately or frozen for later use.

These are easily the best black beans I've tasted. Soaked overnight and pressure cooked for 10 minutes, they were perfect. The most surprising was the aquafaba, rich and sweet, it makes an amazing chocolate mousse.
Love this bread so much
The absolute best bread
This is the cleanest grain I’ve used to home mill.
No extras, no chaff and grinds beautifully.
Excellent flavour and makes (so far) very good biscuits and whole grain bread.
Really like the idea of the population wheat as it has to be considered as a way forward to less input reliant farming.
Organic which is all we use through choice.
Thank you and congratulations to the growers and processor.
Wonderful results and so easy with a soda bread recipe. Lovely colour, density and flavour.
I use 3 measures of Black Wheat and add to it 1 measure of Strong White Flour.
Sometimes I add mixed grain flour as well. Always a perfect product,
