| Cold-pressed from British-grown organic hemp seeds, Hempen Co-operative's raw and unrefined nutty hemp seed oil has a distinctive nutty flavour, similar to sunflower seeds, and is perfect for adding flavour to sauces, dips and dressings. |
Hemp oil looks and behaves just like olive oil yet it has less saturated fat and more good polyunsaturated fats than other oils. It can also be used as a natural moisturiser.
Hemp seeds contain essential fatty acids that are not produced by the body, including omega-6 and omega-3 in the optimal ratio of 3:1.
This oil is lower in saturated fat than other plant-based oils, and contains a unique combination of three other polyunsaturated fatty acids: gamma-linolenic acid; oleic acid and stearidonic acid.
Use like olive oil for dressings, dips and more. To maintain the optimum flavour and nutrition avoid heating to temperatures over 120°C.
