Johnny Spillings of the Penny Bun Bakehouse in Lowestoft has been busy in the bakery and has come up with another new loaf that uses our ingredients. He's actually been experimenting with this one for a few months - and it's finally ready to go.
The loaf is made with flour milled from grain grown on the Holkham Estate in North Norfolk, with our whole Naked Oats and Camelina Seeds. The camelina seeds lend a subtle 'beery' flavour to the loaves, and the oats bring texture and nuttiness. The loaves are slow fermented with the Penny Bun sourdough starter and baked on the day we send them to you.
Sourdough loaves keep well (you'll have a good few days to eat your loaf after delivery) and freeze brilliantly.
*Add the loaf to your basket and complete your order as usual. Up to 50 loaves will be baked to order every Wednesday and sometimes Thursday too. Orders for Wednesday baking must be received by 3pm on the Monday. Orders for Thursday baking must be received by 3pm on the Tuesday.
